Description
Satire on the deposed Kings James II and Louis XIV, both Catholic, riding a donkey and leading a Catholic crusade, sharing one biretta. Beside them Father Petre (James II's confessor) riding a lobster and holding James II's son, Edward Francis. James II and Louis XIV joined forces and landed in Ireland in 1689 in an attempt to re-take the throne, however, William III ultimately defeated them in the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.
