Description
This sculpture is comprised of found objects encased in resin. There are two pieces. The base is a toy carriage with three windows on each side and larger wheels in the back, while a ballerina doll rests on the front. The top of the sculpture, which is heavier than the carriage base, is a standing mythic creature--an iteration of the Aztec deity Coatlicue--made of pasta encased in resin. The remaining elements are more visible once the top is removed from the base. On the underside of the standing creature are six seated rubber babies encased in resin. At the base of the carriage interior is a Christ figurine surrounded on all sides with toy gold coins.
